Upcycled Cashmere Sweater + Merino Legging Set

A cozy little set made from a pre-loved cashmere sweater, thoughtfully given a Second Story.

The sweater has the same generous, grow-with-me fit as our Camp Hoodie, but with a soft cowl neck instead of a hood. The body is made from wonderfully soft cashmere, with soft merino wool cuffs at the wrists and waist. Matching merino leggings complete the set, creating an especially cozy outfit for chilly days. 

Please note: This particular pair of leggings had a small pinhole in one leg, which has been carefully repaired. I added an asymmetrical heart-shaped patch over the repair for additional reinforcement. The repair is secure and intentional, but it is visible and is reflected in the reduced price of this set.

Because each set is made from a different pre-loved sweater, every one is completely one of a kind. The exact color, texture, and character will vary from set to set.

FIT & SIZING

The sweater is intentionally cut with the same generous, relaxed, grow-with-me fit as our Camp Hoodie. The roomy shape allows children to wear it comfortably as they grow.

The leggings have a slim fit designed to pair with the sweater.

Please check the measurements before ordering rather than automatically choosing your child's usual size.

Because every set is made from a different sweater, the amount of stretch and the way each piece fits can vary slightly.

Any scent noted here refers to lingering detergent or laundry-product scent from the sweater’s previous life. These are pre-loved garments, so a faint residual scent may occasionally remain. I will make sure to note if there are any strong smells.

Second Story pieces are made from upcycled, pre-loved sweaters—not newly manufactured fabric. Each sweater is carefully selected and transformed into something new, giving a beautiful existing garment another life.

By purchasing this set, you acknowledge that it is made from an existing garment and may therefore have variations in texture, stretch, color, weave, and appearance, as well as minor signs of previous wear. These characteristics are part of the nature of an upcycled garment and are not considered defects.

Each set is one of a kind, and once that sweater is gone, that particular combination won't be made again.
