Hi, I'm Katelyn

I learned to sew as a child, sitting beside my grandmother and later in a home economics classroom at my rural Kansas high school. Sewing fell away for a season of life, but during the long winters of Vermont, I returned to it.

While working on a farm in Vermont, I was immersed in the daily rhythms of agriculture- tending land, caring for animals, and learning what it means to live close to the source. I spent time around sheep and began to truly understand how remarkable their fiber is. Wool’s warmth and breathability combined with how close it is to nature captured me completely. I’ve been an enthusiastic wool lover ever since.

When I became a mother, that appreciation was magnified. I wanted to create high-quality, natural fiber clothing for my children. Sewing with wool became a way to meet the practical needs of daily life while honoring the natural materials and tradition skills I had come to value.

For several years, we lived on a homestead, spending countless hours outdoors in every season. With small children in tow, we needed clothing that was warm and forgiving—clothing that worked hard without being disposable. Wool proved itself again and again. Even now, living in Colorado, our woollies are staples year-round as we explore the mountains, shifting weather, and everyday adventures.

I’m a homeschooling mom of two, and this work is woven directly into our family life. Over time, my love for wool—and the growing difficulty of finding clothing made without synthetic fibers—led me to begin offering thoughtfully curated wool goods alongside the pieces I sew by hand. Every item I carry reflects the same standards I hold for my own family: natural materials, functional design, and lasting quality.

This business is rooted in a deep respect for wool, for children’s need to move freely and boldly, and for clothing that’s made to be lived in.
